According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/regulatory-information\/search-fda-guidance-documents\/guidance-industry-suicidal-ideation-and-behavior-prospective-assessment-occurrence-clinical-trials\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FDA<\/a>, a SIB assessment, such as the Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (<a href=\"http:\/\/cssrs.columbia.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">C-SSRS<\/a>) should be included in clinical trials involving:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-spaced\">\n<li>Isotretinoins\/tretinoins<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Beta-blockers that cross the blood-brain barrier<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reserpine (for smoking cessation)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Weight loss drugs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anti-epileptic drugs or other neurologic drugs with central nervous system activity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any pharmacologically-similar drug<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any psychiatric indication e.g., bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, ADHD, OCD, panic attacks, PTSD, generalized anxiety disorder and autism spectrum disorder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multiple-dose phase 1 trials with healthy volunteers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\t<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"clario-section light-grey-50\">\n  <div class=\"container\">\n      \n<div class=\"row mb-3\">\n\t\n\n<div class=\"col-12 col-md-9\">\n\t\t\t\n\n<p class=\"h4\">We further recommend assessing suicide risk in clinical trials involving patient populations with a higher risk of SIB.
